Every bit we reported earlier this calendar month, a team of modders named Amper Software is working on Team Fort: Informant 2—a project recreating TF2 in Valve's updated Generator 2 engine (the same one that powers Dota 2, Half-Life: Alyx, Dota Underlords, and the today-dead Artefact).
"Our goal is to remake, improve, retel, and make over a new Team Fort experience on Rootage 2 locomotive using s&box," reads TF:S2's exploitation web log. "This plan is a huge undertaking, we would have to consider all nitpicks of TF2 gameplay, try to rebuild every single mechanic to feel similar to the base game, but with enough inscription, I believe that we can do IT!"

The team is using s&box (noticeable 'sandbox'), the spiritual replacement to Garry's Fashionable that utilizes Source 2 as a framing: this tool itself is still in new development from Facepunch (the Rust-brown studio founded past Garry "Garry's Modernistic" Paul Leonard Newman), so Amper is working with half tools.
